Allison Proctor, LPC, M.Ed.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned my Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from Southeastern Louisiana University with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy.  I am also a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association.

My experience includes working individually with adolescents, college-aged students and adults, and working with specific groups in the areas of parenting and anger management.  I also specialize in working with couples and assisting them in dealing with various issues including: lack of communication, parenting conflicts, and infidelity concerns.

My mission is to provide efficient, nonjudgmental, and compassionate counseling to those in need.  I specialize in and have experience with treating problems associated depression, anxiety, anger management, various relationship issues, traumatic experiences, and substance abuse.

Before joining Magnolia Family Counseling, I was an LPC directing counseling services to students at Dillard University from October 2013 to December 2016, I worked as a substance abuse counselor at Behavioral Health Group from October 2010 to October 2013, I worked as a Student Counselor Intern for Family Services of Greater New Orleans and as a Counselor Practicum Student for Southeastern Louisiana University’s Counseling Center.  I also volunteered for the Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center as a volunteer telephone crisis counselor from 2005-2007.

I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University.  I am a native of Napoleonville, Louisiana.  My husband and I currently reside in New Orleans (since 2008) with our daughter, Madison and dog, Lucy.

Aryane S. Williams, LPC, M.A.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University, Los Angeles. I became a therapist to help people navigate their complex worlds in order to live healthier, happier lives. I believe in a holistic approach to health; that all components of ones’ life are interrelated and that the counseling process is a journey between the therapist and client where we explore areas of concern together.

My experience includes working with couples, families and individuals dealing with various challenges and issues. I specialize in treating adults and adolescents with both mental health and substance use issues. My areas of specialty are anxiety and depression, minority/multicultural challenges, trauma treatment, behavior issues, substance use and LGBTQ couples and individuals.

Before joining Magnolia Family Counseling, my previous work experience includes working as a substance abuse counselor for adults and adolescents at both Center for Discovery and Adolescent Change (Los Angeles) and Bridge House (New Orleans).  I also worked as a behavioral therapist at Center for Autism and Related Disorders (Los Angeles) and counseling families and individuals living with HIV/Aids at NO/Aids Task Force (New Orleans).

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from Dillard University. I am a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and currently reside in Gretna, Louisiana with my spouse and children.

Ashley Mirambell, LCSW

I am passionate about facilitating healing through the therapeutic process and helping clients reach their goals.  I provide a safe environment for my clients to explore and process the stressors that occur in life.  I believe in an individualistic method to counseling, meaning I meet the clients where they are in life and tailor my skills around what works best for them.  I believe that people are the experts of their lives, and have the strengths within them to overcome any challenge they face.

My work experience includes providing group and individual counseling to adults with depression, bipolar/mood disorders, addiction and substance abuse, trauma /PTSD, anxiety disorders, grief and loss, crisis and stress management, self-esteem and adjustment disorders.  I have worked with adults uffering from severe, persistent mental illness and substance abuse to provided skills training and psychotherapy, family psycho- education, as well as relapse prevention planning.  My experience includes working alongside clients suffering from anxiety, depression, and stressful life transitions to reach life goals.

 

I believe in teaching my clients healthy, usable skills to learn to challenge problematic patterns of thinking, to tolerate distress and regulate emotions and to enter into and sustain healthy, meaningful relationships.  I offer my clients compassion and warmth in a space free of judgement to learn about themselves and overcome obstacles.

I earned my MSW from Tulane University in 2011 and received my B.S. in Psychology from Loyola University New Orleans in 2009.

​I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans with a concentration in Play Therapy.  I am also a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association.

My experience includes working with adolescents, college-aged students and adults, and working with specific groups in the areas of parenting, anxiety, and depression. I specialize in working with children and helping them process their feelings and improving behaviors through the use of play therapy. I also work in working with couples and assisting them in dealing with various issues including: lack of communication, parenting conflicts, and infidelity concerns.

My mission is to provide efficient, nonjudgmental, and compassionate counseling to those in need. I specialize in and have experience with treating problems associated with depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, ADHD, various relationship issues, and traumatic experiences.

Before joining Magnolia Family Counseling, I was a PLPC at Northshore Family Counseling from June 2020 to June 2021, I worked as a Counselor Practicum and Intern Student for Loyola Center for Counseling and Education.

Madison Thompson, M.S., PLPC, NCC

I am a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and earned my Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans in May 2023. I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, a minor in Sociology, from Louisiana State University in 2019. My previous experience includes working at Northshore Family Counseling while completing my hours for my master’s degree, from May 2022- May 2023. and where I continue to work today part-time.

I have experience with children, adolescents and adults that struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, identity formation and transitioning into new life roles. I also have experience working with couples and families to work on communication. My main area of focus is working with people who have experienced trauma by helping them process trauma through creating a safe environment to feel safe and heard in their own experience. I work with clients to build their capacity to sit in distressing emotions by incorporating using somatic experiences, identifying values, and expanding on emotions.

My goal is to work as a collaborator that provides the client with their own space to feel seen, heard, and safe.

Caroline Gremillion, PLPC

I am a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and earned my M.A. in Counseling with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2021. I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), The American Play Therapy Association (APT), and The American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (APSAC).

I have experience working with adults with trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and family of origin issues. I am EMDR trained to help clients reprocess traumatic or stressful events and create safety. I also have experience working with children 3+ using Play Therapy and Trust-Based Relational Intervention to create better attachment between parents and their children. I have also worked with children that have been adopted.

Before joining the MFC team, I worked at Northshore Family Counseling between January 2022 till March 2023. I accomplished my Practicum and Internship hours through the Leeke Magee Christian Counseling Center from January 2020 through August 2021.

I have a B.S. in Psychology from Mississippi College: A Christian University.

Annie Karam, PLPC

I am a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and earned a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master of Criminology and Justice Degree from Loyola University New Orleans in May 2023. I am also a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA).

Before joining Magnolia Family Counseling, I was a practicum student and intern at Creative Family Solutions in Luling, Louisiana from June 2022 to May 2023.

My experience includes providing individual counseling to adolescents and adults with various issues including depression, anxiety, family of origin issues, substance abuse, trauma, grief, gender identity issues, and life transitions. I also have some experience providing couples counseling. I approach counseling from a family systems orientation. 

I also provide trauma-informed counseling to adult survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, childhood sexual abuse, and/or stalking at the New Orleans Family Justice Center. 

I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and English from Louisiana State University in 2020. I currently live in New Orleans with my pup, Roo.

Priscilla Hurd, LPC, M.Ed.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned my Master’s Degree in Counselor Education, with a specialization in couples and family counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University.  I am also a member of the American Counseling Association.

My experience includes working with children, teens, and adults for individual work, as well as couples and families dealing with an array of different issues.  I specialize in helping couples:

  • get their relationship back on track by helping them reconnect with one another,
  • better their communication skills,
  • break dysfunctional patterns,
  • and learn the art of compromise.

I help people navigate through the decision of ending a relationship when needed.  I offer premarital counseling as well, for those considering entering a marital commitment.

Before opening Magnolia Family Counseling, my previous work experience includes working as a volunteer for the Battered Women’s Program crisis hotline in Baton Rouge, working as a Counselor Practicum Student for Southeastern Louisiana University’s Counseling Center, and working as a Student Counselor Intern for Trinity Counseling and Training Center in New Orleans.  I also worked as a counselor at Northshore & Southshore Counseling and Wellness from January 2011 to March 2015.

I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Louisiana State University.  I am a native of New Orleans, Louisiana.  I currently reside in Metairie, Louisiana with my husband, son, and two adorable dogs, Mr. Echo and Lyla.
